Greener Grass on the Other Side of the Fence

Greener Grass on the Other Side of the Fence

I recently smiled when I saw one of these two horses close to the road, stretching his neck through the fence to find the greener grass on the other side. I wondered… how many times do I see the grass greener on the other side?

During a recent webinar on how to open your spiritual eyes, one of the facilitators mentioned how as humans, it is normal to desire. It is human nature. As spiritual beings, many of us think that we should be without desire, but is it really so? Could it be that attachment is the culprit, not desire?

Is seeing the greener grass on the other side of the fence a tendency to want more or is it a tendency to forget to be grateful? Are horses feeling or thinking the same way as we do in terms of greener grass? Is wanting more only human nature or also animal nature?

If we embrace life as this rich, abundant and majestic experience, aren’t we living life as we are intended to?
